Crafted with care, this dish remains free from lactose, additives, and the touch of fish and meat, ensuring a pure, satisfactory gastronomic experience.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of mushrooms
  • 100 grams of vegan cream cheese
  • 2 grams of butter
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 loaf of bread
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 pickles
  • 2 grams of Dijon mustard
  • 2 grams of olive oil
  • 1 gram of salt
  • 1 gram of black pepper
  • 1 gram of thyme
  • 1 gram of parsley

Method

  • Finely chop the garlic cloves and half the onion. Slice the mushrooms thinly.
  • Heat the butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion, sauté until they are translucent.
  • Add the mushrooms, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the mushrooms are soft and golden brown.
  • Slice the half loaf of bread into even pieces and spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each slice.
  • Spread the vegan cream cheese on half of the bread slices.
  • Top the cream cheese with the sautéed mushrooms, lettuce leaves, and pickles.
  • Finely chop the parsley and sprinkle on top of the sandwich filling.
  • Close the sandwich with the other half of the bread slices, and slice each sandwich into halves.
  • Serve immediately, ensuring the bread remains crisp and the filling warm.

Tips

  • For extra crunch, you can lightly toast the bread slices before assembling the sandwich.
  • Fresh thyme and parsley will enhance the sandwich’s aroma and flavor profile, but dried herbs can be a suitable substitute.
  • Serve with a side of fresh salad for a complete meal experience.
