Ingredients

  • 200 grams of minced beef (leftovers)
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 small cabbage
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

Method

  • Peel and dice the potatoes into small 1 cm cubes and set aside.
  • Finely chop the cabbage, celery, tomato, and onion.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are golden and tender.
  • Remove the potatoes and set aside. Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet.
  • Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the celery, cabbage, tomato, and minced beef to the skillet. Stir in the salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for about 7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the beef is well-incorporated.
  • Return the potatoes to the skillet and mix well. Cook for an additional 3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Remove from heat and let the skillet sit for a couple of minutes before serving.

Tips

  • For a more vibrant dish, garnish with a handful of fresh coriander or a sprinkle of paprika.
  • Ensure to cook the potatoes until they are golden and crispy for the perfect texture.
  • For a spicier kick, feel free to add a pinch of chili flakes to the mix.
