Ingredients
- 300 grams of beef, minced
- 400 grams of potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 100 grams of onions, diced
- 100 grams of carrots, diced
- 50 grams of peas
- 20 grams of butter
- 100 ml of beef stock
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Thyme, a pinch
- Rosemary, a pinch
- 50 ml of milk
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Boil potatoes in salted water for 15 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- In a pan, sauté onions in a small amount of butter until translucent. Add minced beef, carrots, and peas, and cook until meat is browned.
- Add beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary to the meat mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens and reduces. Season to taste.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
