Ingredients

  • 4 sausages
  • 150 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 medium potatoes, cut into chips
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can of baked beans
  • 10 grams olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp olive oil for mushrooms
  • 1 tsp olive oil for eggs

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Toss the cut potatoes with 10 grams of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy, turning halfway.
  • While the chips are baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tsp of olive oil and cook the sausages until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove and set them aside, keeping them warm.
  • In the same skillet, add 1 tsp of olive oil and the sliced mushrooms. Sauté them with thyme and rosemary until they are tender and golden, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Toast the bread slices until they are crispy and golden. Set aside.
  • Heat another 1 tsp of olive oil in the skillet and fry the eggs to your desired doneness, typically 3 minutes for sunny-side up.
  • Warm the baked beans in a small saucepan over medium heat until they are hot.
  • Plate the sausages, mushrooms, chips, eggs, toasted bread, and baked beans. Serve immediately and enjoy your splendid English breakfast.
