Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 beef steak, 150 grams each
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese, 50 grams each
  • 4 slices of ham, 50 grams each
  • 2 slices of bacon, 50 grams each
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 50 grams of mayonnaise
  • 15 grams of butter
  • 10 ml of olive oil
  • 5 grams of salt
  • 5 grams of black pepper
  • 5 grams of garlic powder

Method

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, then cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until your desired doneness. Remove and let it rest.
  • In the same skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and let it drain on paper towels.
  • Gently butter each slice of bread on one side.
  • Place a slice of mozzarella on the unbuttered side of the bread, followed by a slice of ham and a beef steak.
  • Add a slice of bacon, lettuce leaves, and sliced tomatoes. Finish with mayonnaise and the other slice of mozzarella cheese.
  • Place the sandwich in a preheated skillet, cook until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes on each side.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Uruguayan steak sandwich!

Tips

  • To enhance the sandwich’s flavor, rub the steak with a crushed garlic clove before seasoning.
  • For a spicier touch, add a dash of sriracha or a sprinkle of chili powder.
