Serves: 2, Difficulty: Easy

Preparation: 20 minutes, No cooking required

Ingredients

  • 150 grams dark chocolate
  • 150 grams of strawberries
  • 150 grams of blueberries
  • 200 ml double cream
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  • Begin by melting the dark chocolate in a bowl. You can do this by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water, ensuring the bowl does not touch the water. Stir the chocolate occasionally until completely melted, then set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the double cream and icing sugar until you achieve soft peaks.
  • Gently fold the vanilla yoghurt and vanilla extract into the whipped cream, combining until the mixture is smooth and uniform. This will form the creamy base of your dessert.
  • Wash and slice the strawberries into halves. Mix with the blueberries for a refreshing berry blend.
  • In serving glasses, layer the dessert by placing a layer of the whipped cream mixture, a layer of berries, and then a drizzle of the melted chocolate. Repeat until glasses are full, ending with a drizzle of chocolate.
  • Garnish with a couple of blueberries and a drizzle of any remaining chocolate for a touch of flair.

Tips

  • For a smoother texture, you can blend the berries into a coulis before layering.
  • Chilling the dessert in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving can enhance the flavors.
